Cute little scrapbook page that I wanted to share. I added some 3D elements to this page in a number of different ways.
The clouds stick out of the page using foam double sided tape. The wings of the little butterflies weren't glued down, they were folded up. I also rolled up some strips of paper to make little tubes which you can see to the left and right sides of the photos. The Chipboard elements also add dimension as well.

These cute little cupcakes, made by Dr. MC look good enough to eat. They're handmade and completely customize-able. They can be used as pin cushions or even as decorations.
These cupcakes, along with Dr. MC's other creations can be bought on her Etsy shop here.
Lots of creative engineers at this Vin Gogh on the go party tonight. This was a company team building event/Christmas party and for the majority of the people here, it was also their first time painting. This painting is called moonlight deer.
Most of the artists made deer but one decided to make a gorilla. Can anyone spot the gorilla?
For this class we used some art journaling type techniques to build a background full of layers. Everyone then had the option to add text of their choice to the canvas.
It's always interesting to see how different a painting turns out given the same instructions, people have the freedom to choose their own colors and phrases and you can really see each individual's personality show through on the canvas.
I taught a class at Vin Gogh and it was for a holiday party. They all painted this sunflower painting. It's amazing how, given the same instructions everyone's paintings are unique. A few people decided to do purple flowers and everyone's vases and flowers are slightly different.
This was my first class at the studio and I'm looking forward to teaching many more. You can check out their calendar and pick the painting you're interested in if you wanted to take a class or you can book a private event with them as well at vingogh.ca.
This is a cute little painting I had prepared for a class. Everything was done in acrylic and then the stars were drawn in with a paint marker at the very end once the paint behind them had dried
These paintings are designed to be completed in short periods of time, and in one sitting therefore the level of detail is limited. The bright colors give this painting a cute whimsy feel.

I don't always wait until a Thursday to do a Throwback Thursday photo however this week that's how it turned out. This is an old photo from Holland but I took that picture and made a new scrapbook page from it. I can't believe this is 7 years ago already, time is flying.
The tulip background actually works really well since the picture is from Holland. I took the flower theme and continued it throughout other elements on the page. The layout of this page is quite simple, I've used this 'template' on other layouts as well, and it's amazing how changing the papers and embellishments can completely transform the page into something new.
