Another contribution from DR. MC, this is a handmade wallet. It's fully customizable so you can pick the colors of your wallet, the lining, as well as the trimming.
Other creations like this can be found on her ETSY shop here.
These cute little cupcakes, made by Dr. MC look good enough to eat. They're handmade and completely customize-able. They can be used as pin cushions or even as decorations.
These cupcakes, along with Dr. MC's other creations can be bought on her Etsy shop here.
Dr. MC has been busy creating a lot of new things, and these are some matching his&hers toiletry/makeup bags. They're really cute. As you can see, the lining is a different fabric from the outside, and the trimming is super fun as well.
There are little compartments for holding makeup brushes, mascara etc and then the zip top portion is for smaller items.
Dr. MC has recently opened up a new shop on ETSY called DrMCsCrafts, please go and check it out.
Here's yet another contribution from Dr. MC. She has been working with some felt and this is the first batch of tags that were created.
The tags can be used for a number of different things, such as baggage ID tags.
The tags have been made with some really cute printed felt.
A few of Dr. MC's creations will be joining me at markets so they'll be available for purchase.
Another contribution from the one and only Dr. MC. This time she decided to take an old dresser and refinish it with a coat of bright red paint.
You will notice that the paint is nice and thin which allows for the natural pattern of the wood to still show through.
This is the completed look.
She's put it in a room and used it to display artwork that she's created. I think the little rabbit may have been painted by her husband. This is a great way to display art or even photographs.
I actually bought an old dining set a few years ago with the intention of repainting it but I've never really gotten around to it...this is inspiring me to get started on that project.
Time for another contribution form my sister Dr. MC. This one is a bit of cross stitching that was inspired by these colorful flowers. Just looking at these gorgeous bright colors makes me feel happy.
There is so much inspiration around us all the time, you just have to open your eyes and look for it. The colors from the beautiful bouquet were transferred to this piece of cross stitching and the result is gorgeous.
I'm going to start adding a new category to this blog- contributions. This category includes contributions to this blog from other people who like to do arts/crafts types of things.
So, for the first contribution, I wanted to share this beautiful baby quilt that my sister Dr. MC made for a friend's baby. The embroidery was done using an embroidery machine and the rest of the quilting was done by machine/hand. The neutral colors work well for when you don't know the gender of a child. The end result is gorgeous and it's definitely a keepsake for the baby.
Arts & Crafts
I love creating stuff. I also get bored easily. So, on this blog you'll find my experiments with various mediums and techniques along with some of my students' creations from classes that I teach.
