    Love Me Hate Me

Throwback scrapbook page, for this one I used stamps as well as distressing to create the background page.  I distressed the photo mat’s as well as the photo itself as well to give it all a cohesive look. I added little grommets or eyelets to the strips of paper containing the text in order to add a bit more texture to the page. All of the flowers and leaves actually came from fussy-cutting other scrapbook paper that I had.  Every time I fussy-cut I promise myself I’ll never do it again and then when I forget how frustrating it is for me I end up doing it again.  I’m glad…

    Faces of You

Cute little scrapbook page that I wanted to share.  I added some 3D elements to this page in a number of different ways. The clouds stick out of the page using foam double sided tape.  The wings of the little butterflies weren’t glued down, they were folded up.  I also rolled up some strips of paper to make little tubes which you can see to the left and right sides of the photos.  The Chipboard elements also add dimension as well.    © Ammara Cokar 2015

I don’t always wait until a Thursday to do a Throwback Thursday photo however this week that’s how it turned out.  This is an old photo from Holland but I took that picture and made a new scrapbook page from it.    I can’t believe this is 7 years ago already, time is flying. The tulip background actually works really well since the picture is from Holland.  I took the flower theme and continued it throughout other elements on the page.  The layout of this page is quite simple, I’ve used this ‘template’ on other layouts as well, and it’s amazing how changing the papers and  embellishments can completely transform the…

This photo was taken at a wedding a few years ago now.  I love rich jewel tone shades of colors like this gorgeous purple, or royal blue, ruby red, emerald green, turquoise etc.   This page has some beautiful gold foil details on the papers and the designs floating around the photo were some rub-ons.  I really didn’t feel the need to add many other elements to this page since the background paper itself had so many details on it- I didn’t want to take away from the paper’s beauty. © Ammara Cokar 2015

I love desi weddings, especially family ones because it’s always an extravagant week long affair where everyone gets together to celebrate.  This page was made to reflect the gorgeous colors in the photograph from the bride’s dress, the groom’s headpiece, and the background. The gold colored border below the image is actually a glitter border and the red  border around the perimeter of the page has gold foil on it.  The layout itself is quite simple because of how intricate the rest of the elements on the page are. © Ammara Cokar 2015

    Sweet Baby Girl

Here’s another throwback to a scrapbook page from way back in 2009.  This one has a lot of curved edges through the elements of the page which reflect the circles in the background.  The semi-circle border along the part where the background papers divide was created by using a circle punch.  The curved edges of the photos were also done by using a corner punch. © Ammara Cokar 2015
